Managing building optics
On the Building Optics main page, you'll see click-able building names. Clicking on any building’s name will direct you to a holistic page for viewing the building optics and/or perform different actions.
General information
Right in front, you’ll see two sections:

One on the left shows the name and address of the building with an illustration or a picture of the building.

On the right side, you can see all the information related to the building.

This information includes:
-
Built: The year it was built and the years it has been in use.
-
Floors: The number of floors in this building.
-
Sprinkler Protected:
-
Square Footage: The total area of the building.
-
Number of assets identified: Total number of assets in this building.
-
Assets per 1000 sf: Number of assets in each 1000 square foot.
-
Replacement Value of Assets: The amount it’ll cost to replace all assets.
-
Last Assessment: The date on which the last assessment was conducted for this building.

PM FTE calculated:
-
FTE actual:
-
Recommended Annual PM Program (Labor/Cost/FTE): The amount it’ll cost to carry out the recommended annual PM program.

Occupancy: The industry this building belongs to. For example, health care or educational institution.

Accreditation/AHJ:
-
Ownership: Ownership status.
-
Service Type: The type of service industry this building is a part of. For example, a hospital or a school.
-
Licensed Beds: Number of licensed beds in this building.

Indexes
Upon scrolling down, you can see different indexes in half-pie charts and the calculated FTE.
Tabs and buttons
After the indexes, you can see different tabs and buttons. The tabs here are:

Assessments

Responsible Users
Assessments
-
Click on this tab to see a list of assessments.

You can see a Filters button for specifying your search.
-
Use the search box to find an asset by its name or type.
You can view the following information here:
-
Date: The date on which the assessment was conducted.
-
Asset Name: The asset name which was assessed. The asset name is click-able and will direct you to Assets > General > Asset Name.
-
Asset Type: The category the asset belonged to. For example, an air handling unit.
-
FHIE Score: Facility health index score of the asset after assessment.
-
Assessed By: The name of the person who conducted the assessment.
-
Comments: Any comments regarding the assessment process or the assets.
Documents
Click on this tab to see the documents related to this building. This tab has a search box only. On the right side of the search box, you can see the +Upload Document button.

Reminder
Uploading a document

Click on the +Upload Document button.
-
A modal will open.
-
Click on Type of document drop-down and select what kind of document you are uploading.

Set a date in the Expiration date field for when the document expires. For example, if it’s a license.

Click on the Send me reminder drop-down to set a time to get a reminder about the document expiry.

Add a description of the document in the Description box.
-
You can either drag and drop a file or click to browse and upload the document from your desktop.

Click Update to upload the file or Cancel to go back.
Projects
-
Switch to this tab if you want to see a list of projects associated with this building.
-
There’s a Filters button and a search box to specify your search for a project.
-
The search box allows you to search for a project by its name.
-
The projects’ names are click-able and will direct you to Project Builder > Project where you can view project details.

You’ll find the following information here:

Total Project Cost

Attachments
-
Switch to this tab if you want to see attachments related to this building. It can be spread sheets, documents, photos, etc.

Uploading a file

Click on +Upload File button.
-
A modal will open.
-
Write the description of the file in the Description box.

You can drag and drop or click to browse a file from your desktop.

Click Update to upload the file or Cancel to go back.
Links
-
You can use this tab to view relevant links and to add a link if required.

You can see the +Add link button on the right side.

The search box allows you to find the link you want.

Description

Link

By

Date

Adding a link
-
Click on +Add link button.
-
A modal will open.
-
Write a description of what the link is about in the Description box.

Paste the URL in the Link field.
-
Click Submit to add the link or Cancel to go back.
Responsible Users

You can use this tab to see a list of responsible users for this building.
-
The search box here allows you to search for a user.
-
You can add a new user by clicking + Add Users button on the right side.
Adding users
-
Click on + Add Users button.
-
A modal will open.
-
In the Select user field, click on the Select Value drop-down. You’ll see a list of users. You can select one or all.

Click Save to add the user or Cancel to go back.
